We developed Secretly Obvious in 2014 as a cosmetic brand using the creative experience of it's founding aromatherapist. Since then, the business has grown to be managed in house by our team, creating custom skincare from essential oils, packaging and shipping over the world, and advertising to the holistic health audience. Everything from the logo, responsive website, store, social media, graphics, skincare packaging, product photos, photo editing, and marketing was conceptualized and brought to life by all of our imaginations. We are continually working on this project and look forward to seeing more growth! Below is the evolution of the 5 years of work for this project.
We developed this brand from scratch, including the brand name which eludes to answers to health the being found in the secrets of holistic philosophy you never knew were right under your nose.
We designed a color coordinated system for 7 skincare collections based on essential oil combinations, almost 40 products! The challenge was using paper labels, low ink, and minimal plastic packaging for low environmental impact.
Secretly Obvious is above all, a wellness company, it was important to portray the brand as inclusive and celebrating the natural form of the customer. Our models were selected for their natural beauty and dedication to natural products. The theme of every shoot with this brand is "Come as You Are."
The challenge with so many products is avoiding overwhelming the customer. Using royalty free images and our own shots, we branded each collection and made it easy to shop by skin concern and scent, as well as advertising sales for social media and email campaigns.
